  Problem with Cinema Tools Reverse Telecine–Need Help Quick!!!!

  Hello,

  I digitized a bunch of footage into FCP at 29.97 and for the past few days i’ve been converting the footage, using the Reverse Telecine FCP function, to 23.98.

  I had a problem with my project earlier and i had to trash my preferences and my .plist file, as well as perform a disk utility until i finally figured out the problem and had to open up an autosave file to get my project running again.

  However, now when i import the 29.97 files and try to do a reverse telecine, the new files are 24 fps, not 23.98. Does anybody know why this is happening, and how to fix it?

  I’m on a very tight deadline!! Thanks so much for your help!!!

  Are you trying to do the Reverse Telecine within Final Cut?
  I haven’t done it from within Final Cut, but if you open Cinema Tools, then open your clip and select Reverse Telecine, there is an option to have it conform to 24fps or 23.98.

  But is there a way i can change that within final cut? it was working fine the other day before i had the problem with my system. Thanks again.
