  progressive dropped frame?

  I am setting up to edit a native 16:9 progressive DV captured with a Panasonic XL camera. I will set the anamorphic capture at which ever frame rate is correct 24 or 30. My question is, since it is progressive, do I uncheck the drop frame box in the Timeline Options next to Starting Timecode?

  If you’re going to broadcast, no. Drop frame does not mean the timeline is literally dropping frames of video. It’s dropping time to maintain accuracy to the network clocks.
