  Error Code -1309 While moving scratch disk onto Firewire HD

  Hey,

  Ive been getting this code while moving my scratch disk from my internal HD to my firewire external HD…is it possible to fix this error and get my scratch content onto an external HD? Thanks!

  I think 1309 is in the HFS range… check the formatting of your FW drive. Needs to be Mac OS Extended — or maybe some of the desktop hidden files on that drive are missing.

  Can you reformat the drive without loosing stuff?
