“Brady Bunch” Effect
Hello, I’m trying to achieve what I call a “Brady Bunch” effect using FCP 4.5. I want to have 9 or 12 blocks of separate video on the screen at the same time, similar to the begining of the tv show “Brady Bunch” where they are are looking at each other. Does anyone know if this is even possible, and if so, where I would start? I am fairly new to FCP as well. Thank you.

Yes, people do that stuff all the time. Just stack up 9 clips on the timeline, then resize them all and line them up in the Canvas.

It’s pretty simple to do, multiple layers of video stacked on top of each other. There was a tutorial on exactly how to do that open in the FCP3 edition of my book “Final Cut Pro Editing Workshop.”
