Please help, anything can be useful for me… 🙁

My footage is 16:9 anamorphic interlaced DV PAL.
    My sequence is the same.

I’ve decided to make my video 2.35:1 widescreen, so i’m using widescreen matte filter. The problem is that i need to use a different offset for every take and that is causing field order errors. Sometimes the top or bottom lines are disapearing, sometimes the image gets blurry. i don’t know what to do. I’ve used a lot of other filters so render time takes forever, and there’s more then 200 takes in my video. When I try to correct it it looks good, but affter render it’s wrong again.

What is the single fields width, is there any mathematical rule to do it right?

Maybe i should make the sequence “none” field order? (Already tryed it and i’m not quiet satisfied.)

I’m using CRT monitor for the preview.

try making your offset adjustments in even numbers only. additionally you might try applying the “video > shift fields” filter to those clips where you’re having problems

i have a widescreen matte generator that you’re welcome to use if that might make things easier for you (you can use the motion properties of the underlying clips to offset as required) you can download it from https://homepage.mac.com/andymees
