  FCP export to self contained shows artifacts

  Hi

  i have a link to make this a little easier to see what i am getting
  2 projects 1 SD 1 HD at 30 fps and 24fps getting the same artifacts on self contained QT

  anyone have this before ? the clips were captured clean
  systems running quads and daul 2.5 OS 10 .4.7 /fcp 5.0.4/qt7.1.2/xsan 1.3

  ugly…

  You need to pin down where this is happening. Is it viewable externally before you make the QT movies? If not, figure you should reinstall QuickTime.

  Wow, those are indeed ugly. Calling them artifacts seems too nice. This looks more like corrupt data or bad tape. Was this on the camera original?

  Oops, I just reread that you said they were captured clean. Looks like a pipeline issue possibly. Have you checked the throughput on your xsan lately?
