  Very Quick HDV question. NEED HELP QUICK!!

  Hello,

  I’m trying to digitize HDV footage at DV resolution into Final Cut Pro.

  I’m digitizing from a Sony HDV deck via firewire.

  The problem i’m running into is that the Final Cut system keeps converting the frame size of the HDV footage to 3:2.

  What i want is for the footage to digitize at the NTSC DV rez as widescreen, so that i’m not chopping off any of the edges that were shot.

  Any suggestions? Thanks!

  Solved my own problem!!

  The down convert on the deck was set to Crop, and set it to widescreen.
