  • reducing audio hiss…

(i posted this at the Apple Soundtrack forum, but there is not much activity there…)

i have a track from a CD with an amazing amount of background hiss for a CD (never came from a vinyl record, that i know of). the manual says to try the Denoiser, with the type set to a negative, but this hasn’t done much at all to limit the hiss. any other ideas? thanks.

thanks for helping out a bonehead!

    Mortimer,

The STP tutorial has clear and concise instructions on how to use noice reduction. I did it a year ago and have not found anything better that explains its functionality. I have found STP’s noise reduction to be very effective.
