  • Linking Audio and Video clips?

Posted by Madskillzman on June 21, 2006 at 4:32 am

guys..question..im TRYING to edit my cousins wedding here. Ive captured camera 1, via firewire, and camera 2 (analoge) digitized via my other camera.

Problem is, now in the timeline, when i select the video, it doesnt select the audio and vice versa. I went to Link.. and that only linked the L and R channels of audio, not video.

This is really quite making it IMPOSSIBLE to edit having to command click 3 times everytime i want to select a clip of audio/video.

Some sort of setting? preference? i cant find it!

    thanks in advance

Highlight/select your 2 audio tracks and make them a stereo pair. Then select your stereo pair as well as the video track and use the link command.

Thank you. The thing is, the link command doesnt work. And actually, Command L doesnt work until you hit it twice.

    This is a Dual 1.8ghz G5, 2gb ram, OSX4.6 FCP 5. I did get it though, hit it twice..thats..weird.

    Thanks for your help.
