  • FCP Render Manager removed all my audio filters

Posted by Howie Chin on June 20, 2006 at 1:24 pm

    Hi,

I’m using FCP 5.0.4 running on OSx 10.4.6…i’m editing a sequence where contained alot of render and one of it somehow is corrupted where it displays part of another footage in a footage that is not supposed to have it

it’s like you see [ howie walking down the aisle ]…[render file – howie in McD]…[ howie walking down the aisle ]

i noticed the purple bar where the instance of [howie in McD] which indicated that it’s a rendered file.

I used Render Manager to remove all the renders. Glad to have the space back 😉 but…upon that, all my Audio Filters that I’ve applied earlier is removed as well…I’ve not applied much on the Video Filters but it’s mainly just Color Correction (not a problem)

Just wondering is that a bug in the Render Manager in FCP that causes this Audio Filter removal by mistake or it is Removing my audio filter decisively upon my mouse click. Dangerous … to other users, be wary…

Hope someone could help me out with this matter

    thank you…

Render Manager does not remove any filters, just render files only. It sounds to me like you have a corrupt seqence or somebody else has possibly removed your filters. You didn’t by chance use the Remove Attributes command, did you? If so, that’s were your filters have gone.

I use Render Manager all of the time and I have never seen this one… Maybe you should trash your preferences and try rendering again.

I’ll second Wayne on that one, Render Manager has not removed any filters here at all. Remove Attributes will do this if you select Filters as the item to be removed.
