    Still having same issues with FCP…..it just keeps crashing over and over during mutliclip edits….and now Im cutting DV footage…..Huge cant figure it out…..Ive done every trick you can think of…..everyone here has been as helpful as possible….but I cant get anything done at this rate…..sigh…

    Based on what you have told us, it really does sound like something odd with your drives. A few years ago I had some crashing issues that were fixed by a firmware upgrade from Huge, so that cant be ruled out. It could also be something as silly as a bad cable or terminator to your drive array. Multiclip is more demanding, so the problem becomes pronounced when using it. I dont remember…did you say if your SCSI card on a seperate PCI bus than your KONA…it needs to be.

    Most people seem to have few problems with multiclip. I get good performance with it on a system that has substantially less speed than yours using 10 bit Uncompressed. Sorry for your troubles.

    Ya, I am thinking its the drives now too…..Huge cant figure it out…..laas night after posting this….I tried to play just DV QT I had output….and it did the same thing…..SBBOD…..it just seems to be choking on the data at certain points and gets lost…..
