    hi to everyone!

im about to edit a documentary in HDV.

i already captured all material. the audio was rec on HD. to sync the material
the tc was written on the audio track via clockit.
as fcp cant read that i found an actually great tool called TIMETOOLS from gallery.co.uk.
i just put the captured quicktime into timetools and it overwrites the videoTC with the tc from the audiotrack.
BUT: it didnt worked with all clips. i contacted the guys from gallery and they wrote:

I think the problem you are seeing is because of the way the footage
    was transferred into FCP.

You need to setup FCP so that the audio tracks are kept panned hard
left and right in the captured files. If the 2 audio channels are
panned central, when TimeTools gets the audio from QuickTime, it
gets audio from both channels, instead of just the left or right
channel. We heard the same problem from another user in the same
    workflow.

So, I suggest you try capturing again, but this time pay attention to
the audio channel setup in the FCP log and capture window. You want
to make sure that when you play back the files in QuickTime player,
the LTC is panned hard to one side.

SO,….I DONT KNOW HOW TO MAKE THIS SETUP!?!??!?
I can only choose between mono and stereo and the single channels, do i miss something?

THANKS A LOT FOR ANY RESPOND!
    dani
does anyone has an idea how to do that?
