I have a G-5 dual 2 gig. I’m using a 900 gig Huge system drive SCSI Atto 4-card and a AJA I/O. I have not installed Final Cut Pro 5.1 yet. I am in the middle of two edits and don’t want to genix them.

I just started having a (disconnect problem) with the NTSC monitor. While playing either source or timeline the program monitor (out of AJA) will go black and the video will freeze. Ten seconds later the spinning beach ball of hell comes on. I have lost control of the program, basically locks up. I have to force quit to get anything working again. After throughing away the preferences I try to launch the program and I get a (error code -600). It is still shoping a non-responce in the funder. I have to shut down and rester to get the program to luach. What is a (error code -600)

I have tried running the program without the aja and it seems to be working but the audio sucks. Any idea what might be causing the failure and how to fix it?

    Thaknk you for y

I have the same issues…Ive been trying to cut multicam on this thing and its a dog…..locks up every hour or so….spinning beach balll….have to force quit…..Ive gotten that error when I try to relaunch FCP without restarting the computer…so now I just restart all the time…..very annoying and hard to work with…..I have FCP 5.0.4 as well as Atto UL4D….Aja SD card….all the latest drivers ect ect…nobody seems to be able to fix it, I wonder if its something with 5.0.4….Im tempted to upgrade but am scared as i too am right in the middle of projects…honestly it seems to be a data throughput issue the way it locks up…like it just cant handle it…Im only doing 4 streams of video….am using Huge 2.5 TB SCSI array….not even half full

    Hello —
Final Cut Pro 6.0.5 on an Intel Mac Pro — will not open — goes part way and then the spinning ball starts
gets this way booting up from the external hard drive or from the desktop
have safe booted and run disk utility in internal hard drive

I get an error code -600

Anyone know what the code means? And any advice on how to get the project open would be great.
