  trashed preferences–issue

  i just trashed my preferences when i launched final cut my boot drive all of a sudden tells i have 1.95 gig available—i did not capture any thing!!!

  Never capture to your boot drive. Media should live on it’s own separate drive. That being said, not really sure why trashing preferences would delete media.

  i know i have a separate drive but what happened was when i trashed preferences and launched final cut again all of a sudden my boot drives says i have 1.95 gig available when i know i have 90gig on boot drive alone.
