  importing mpeg into FCP

  When i import an mpeg file into FCP, the sound is missing. I cant seem to import the sound in. is there a way to go about it? or is there a software i could use to convert the sound?

  Your MPEG files have audio and video muxed. You need to demux them, bring them into FCP as seperate files and then re-sync them.
