This is more of an observation than a question. I am working on my first HDV project, capturing 1080i footage from the XL H1. When the capture window opened I was surprised at how different it is from the SD capture window. It has a different look and feel. When capturing the Capture Status window floats and can be repositioned on the screen. The most interesting difference is a check box to select weather a new files is created for each camera start and stop. This is more useful that DV Detect after the capture as you can toss any false starts or NG takes. Perhaps in the next version this feature will be added to the SD capture function.
