  converting to Sorenson fullres quicktime – deadline looming!!

  hi there – got an urgent job but having problems

  I am taking FCP self contained master files (about 3mins in length)
  and trying to convert them to full res (DV PAL 4:3) Quicktime files Sorenson based!?!?

  The request for Sorenson based has come from the client – able to contact them to find out more.

  When I do a conversion – I get a heap of pixellation – in particular on their end logo.

  I’ve upped to quality to best but it doesn’t seem to solve the problem.

  any suggestions??

  It’s ok – I;ve talked to the client about dropping Sorenson

  Would still be interested in a lesson if anyone has thoughts

  Thoughts about what now? Converting NTSC to PAL..full resolution?

  I don’t think Sorenson is really meant for this, but I’m not 100% sure. I’d try Photo-JPEG if you’re just trying to reduce file size and retain quality.
