I have a project that I am woking on and need to capture DV footage from my DVX100 and I open FCP and where I usually have VCR controls a the bottom of my log and capture window, there is nothing! The rest of the windows are there, just no VCR buttons. Help please

Go to Easy Setup and select DV NTSC and see if the controls come back.

First thing would be to go to the capture settings tab on the right hand side of the log and capture window. If the Device control is set to “non-controllable device” the VTR controls disappear. That’s gotten me before if I was recently doing a scratch track and turned control off and forgot to turn back on when I went back to tape. good luck
