  • Making snow stick to a layer using Particular

I’ve created a logo using Zaxwerks Classic that flies into the screen and want to have snow accumulate on it after it comes to a stop. I changed the Physics Model to Bounce and the Colliision Event to Stick. I have the Particular (snow) on it’s own layer and am choosing the Logo as the Floor Layer and Floor Mode is Layer Alpha. Where am I going wrong with this? Any help would be greately appreciated.

Well, Floor means Floor and A floor is a flat surface. Particular will accumulate the particles on the collision plane, not the Alpha contours. The Alpha only acts as a grate/ sieve. Sorry, wrong tool in that case. You have to think of other solutions.

Yeah, the client wants it “3D” so the only way I know how is Zaxwerks. I got the effect though using Paticle Playground with the help of a tute I found here on the Cow.
