I will be working on a project that needs a final in both PAL and NTSC. It will be shot and edited in PAL, to get a PAL final. Then convert the whole project over to NTSC for a NTSC final. All will be done on a FCP system.

I have never really done this conversion before so I am asking anyone here if I should be prepared for any problems with the conversion? Mainly in audio sync and picture quality.

This is being shot on a Sony Z1 in HDV format.

    thanks for any input,
    Bret

PS. The project starts this Saturday so I need some answers rather quickly please

Do you think this is a better conversion than just using FCP 5.0?

No question about it. Search this forum for Nattress and you’ll find nothing but raves.
