    Dear All
I really need your help to start up my post production set up on the right foot.
Some info about the set up: I have a Dual2.0Ghz G5 with 2GB RAM, 1 Huge U320 1.TB for storage, and I am getting a Multibridge SD (did you hear that Blackmagic has stopped its production???)

    I have 1 BVW 75P Betacam Player/ Recorder and a DSR 45. I master on the Betacam.
I edit on FCP 4.5 and also work on AE 6.5, Illustrator Cs and Photoshop CS.

    My question:
    1. To work on 4:2:2 will give me better colours and graphics?
    2. On the main project that I am working 70% of the material will be from SP Betacam and the rest on DV Cam.I want to work on 8 bit uncompressed to get 4:2:2. For the Sp Beatacam, I will acquire it as such through the BM. For the Dv footage off the DSR 45, I am unsure: Should I use the firewire connection or the component (uncompressed)
    3. From what I know, it is better to import in one codec on Final Cut Pro and that the uncompressed codec in fact renders quicker?
    4. What about the Photo Jpeg codec?

    Please help
    Thanks.
