    Hello All,
I’m using FCP 5.0 on a PowerMac Dual G5 2.5 w/ 6gigs RAM. I’m trying to digitize a DvCam using a Sony DSR20 Deck. For some reason over the last few weeks, FCP has been giving me attitude. Sometimes it will capture a tape fine. Sometimes it stops before the tape ends. And today it just kept playing past my out point. :o/ I’ve trashed preferences, ran disk utility and check my settings. I can only think that maybe I need to be using the FireWire NTSC Basic for Device Control. But I had sucesses with the standard FireWire NTSC option. Is this a known issue that I’m just now running into or is there something that I’m doing wrong??? Besides that, when FCP captures the clip using the log and capture feature and doesn’t capture successfully. Is there a way to recover the video that was just captured without having to recapture again??? This is starting to drive me nuts. Thanks for any help.

    Jason
