Sorry, this forum moves a little faster than Studio Pro does.

Any suggestions for the best INTERNAL dual layer burner for a MAC G4 dual 1.25 GHz
    Using DVD Studio Pro 4?

Also, is it better to use +’s with the dual layer?

    Thanks and info will help..

I remember we had to output a dual layer master before. It was a pretty intense experience. We did that about 7 months ago, and at the time the consumer dual layer burners were not able to author a disc playable on a standalone player or on a computer. We actually had to master to DLT, then send them out for mastering and replication. I do believe that the discs were +R’s. Hope that helps.

I had to master a dual layer DVD+R in a hurry a couple of months ago and run out to Best Buy to see what they had. They had a Plextor firewire external burner that has been running like a champ ever since. Model number is PX-716UF. Doesn’t help your internal question, but it may help.

Ok,, Thanks. I appreciate any and all feedback.

Do you folks feel a firewire Dual layer DVD burner will be more useful
than the internal? I can still burn single layer DVDs on a internal dual layer, is that
    a correct assumption?

    Thanks,
    scott
