is there a way to toggle only the audio clip overlay? we all constantly level audio, but tell me how often you need to make a super or dissolve and mess with the video opacity? my god. you can’t just leave the toggle on, cause you end up mistakenly bringing the opacity down to 92% or something, and you don’t know it till you output or something, and you have to start over, and… well, has anyone else been there? there must be a way to bring up keyframes in the timeline only for the audio. anyone?

    in advance, much appreciated,

If you are accidentally adjusting the video opacity all the time, then why aren’t you accidentally adjusting the volume of clips all the time? Hmmmm?

But it seems like it’d be a decent feature to turn one toggle on or off, but I don’t think you can.

I think that’s somewhere in your sequence settings. To change an existing sequence, select the timeline & press command-zero. To change sequences you may create in the future, look in the User Preferences under the Final Cut Pro menu. Changing the settings in User Prefs will not change settings on existing timelines.
