DV start/stop detect in FCP 5.0 from Sony XDCAM
I get the “no clock detected or your clock was turned off” message when trying to break the entire digitized disk up into shots using DV start/stop detect. On the XDCam deck I can see all of the thumbnails with all of the info needed. Apple is “Lookng into it” as of a month ago. No Joy. Anybody run up against this problem?

AFAIK DV Start/Stop Detect only works with DV or DVCAM material.

Does that shoot true 24p, or 24p at 29.97?
I’m surprised it works as I’ve never seen it work on anything but DV.

720p24 Varicam HD original material captured via FW as 720p59.94 from the 1200a deck.

XDCAM is a strange beast, isn’t it? It’s got an MXF wrapper which might be preventing Start/Stop detection.
