I’m preparing a video for Ipod casting.
The default settings from FCP says ther frame size will be 320x 240. But it comes out at 213, and the imge is a bit squashed. Is this normal? Will it be stretched back out to normal size once it plays on the Ipod, or will I hear the women in the video screaming at me because they say they look fat.

    Thanks,

    scott

I don’t think that is normal. My videos seem to come out the default size. have you played it on the iPod to see what it looks like?

It’s odd, when you choose the IPOD default from QT conversion it says 360-240 and you can’t change the options. But when its compressed it comes out 360-213. What is your default size you mentioned
I don’t have a video ipod to test.

It sounds as if you are trying to compress 16×9 material, that would account for the size difference.

You can set the option in the Ipod to play back 16×9 content as 4:3 (center crop)

Here is the problem, for some reason you have to open your export from FCP or where every and manually change the frame to Square.
