What is recorded on the tape is digitally transfered (as a file) to the Mac. -

April 4, 2006 at 2:45 pmI would recommend trying to export a clip back to tape and see if it looks okay on the samsung and z1 again. Perhaps its your computer monitor or just some luma or gamma shift final cut is doing on preview.

April 4, 2006 at 3:22 pmChemix- Record color bars from the Z1. Look at the bars on the waveform monitor in FCP log and capture. How does the luma look there? Compare the bars with the FCP 1080i color bars from the viewer (drop down). Are they a match? Try and trace it down using color bars.
