  • Live Concert – export to CD

I recently edited a Styx concert for DVD release. I am now trying to export the timeline out as an AIFF file so I can burn a CD of it. I was thinking I’d burn it in iTunes.

I can not figure out how to export the file so the chapter markers show up as seperate tracks. I’ve tried scoring markers – no luck.

Has anyone done this before? Is there another program (inexpensive program) that I should use instead of iTunes?

    Thanx

You have edited a professional concert DVD and did not have the audio processed at an audio post house?

Something sounds a bit odd about this.

    Copyright issues come to mind.

    Can you be more specific?

The DVD is for internal use only. The concert was part of Comcast’s New Year’s Eve Celebration. Five hours – all HD.

There was a pressing of only 1,000 copies – all given to anyone remotely associated with the cablecast. I re-cut the all the concert footage for the DVD release. Now I’ve been asked to make a CD out of the Styx sets.

It’s not a bootleg situation – just a higher up at Comcast would like to listen to the music in his car.

Why not just cut the tracks into separate files, one for each song?

That’s an option I thought of. I was wondering if there was a way to do this as one batch export. So if someone listened from start to finish if would be the complete concert without the hint of tracks changing.

But if there is no clean way I’ll do it that way and use the timecode to ensure tracks line up.

    Thanx
