Dropped frames during capture
I have shot some footage with one of our studio cameras (16:9), recording the footage on a Panasonic AJ-SD93. When trying to capture the footage via firewire into FCP5, I experience dropped frames during capture. I am using the DV50 NTSC 48 kHz Anamorphic capture preset. The front of the deck has DVCPRO50 lit up. Does antone have some advice for me?

Not enough info Jeff. What is the drive config that you are capturing to? Are you by any chance capturing from the camera via firewire while at the same time using firewire drives on one of the built-in firwire ports?

I apologize. No firewire drives. I am using an Apple XServe RAID for capture/storage connected via Fibre channel. No other firewire devices connected to the G5.

Wow, that is strange… DVCPro50 is certainly no hog. I wish I had an answer for that one.
