  weird FW aberation

  OS 10.4.2
  FCP 5.04
  QT 7.03
  Sony DSR 11
  Lacie Big Disk Extreme

  Lacie is runing into separate FW 800 PCI board, DSR-11 is going into system FW board. Working in DV and monitoring off of the deck. Getting random loss of signal to the deck. If I stop playback it reconects. Lacie is nearing full capacity (30 G left out of 500).

  Could be the full drive, but…

  Try a re-start of the Mac.

  Having fewer open apps,

  and try “trashing the Preferences” of FCP.

  Done all of the above. I am in the process of moving some of the media over to another drive.
