    Now that there’s no firewire 800 on the new macbooks, is there a box that connects firewire 800 and gigabit ethernet, so you dont have to plug your firewire 800-able external Hard Drive to the firewire 400 port? Froogle and google seem to say there are only PCI cards that do both – and nothin’else…

    You can get a firewire 800 card for the ExpressCard slot and plug your hard drive in there.
