  External video display with overlays, etc.

  I’d like to be able to see my timecode overlays, title safe markers, etc. on my external video monitor while editing in FCP 5. Can anyone tell me how to do this if possible? I can display to my monitor via firewire through a Sony DSR-45 deck or a AJA IO. Thanks.
