  Pixelated Images When Layered… Why?

  Hello,

  I am using Final Cut Pro 5 (but not LiveType as I get images from the design department.)

  As I assemble layers of Tiffs or Photoshop layers, the more layers I add the more pixelated the images appear, even after exporting.

  It is especially evident when there is a fade in or fade out, and it remains pixelated after it has faded in.

  Does anyone know why this happens or a way to fix it? Thanks!

  Have you rendered everything? Are you looking at the imges through a proper NTSC monitor, or are you watching the canvas? You need to look at everything through a proper monitor, and not judge final quality on the canvas.

  You are also viewing your QT exports at Low Quality. To set the high quality flag, you’ll have to check it in Window>Show Movie Properties>Video button>High Quality.
