alias issues HELP
Hi everyone,
I’ve been having very bad aliasing problems with a simple logo I created on AI and animated on AE. I’ve tried many of the suggestions discussed here but none seem to work. The only thng that worked for me was changing the color of the logo from RED to any other color. Too bad I can’t, as you guys may guess, simply drop the red from the logo for my client won’t be very happy with me messing with it…
My workflow(maybe that will help): I started working from an RGB AI file, saved and imported it into AE 6.5 as a comp. When I drop it onto a new com, I tried both continued rasterized/non-continued with equal results. The comp settings: 1920×1080 square pixels (I also changed the pixel aspect ratios to the other options) resolution: FULL, render plugin ADVANCED 3D.
When I play the rendered file on QT it looks fine which leads me to believe it’s an FCP issue. My settings on FCP HD: sequence preset Blackmagic DVCPRO-HD, compressor QT video settings: DVCPRO HD 1080 60i, video processing (tried both RENDER in 8-bit TUV and high precision YUV…

You need to check your quality in a video monitor. Are you even using one?
