    i know how to make subclips, but i have a few captured QT files that are a bit bigger than will fit on a DVD for storage. is there a way to break these captured clips into two smaller clips? the other problem here is that i no longer have the source tape from which these clips were captured…

    Mark an in and out point in the too long clip, then use file/export/QT movie, and make it self contained… then export the rest the same way.
