I spent approximately 6 hours logging clips yesterday and I batch captured overnight. This morning some of my clips captured, but there was an error that said “timecode unable to be located”. Obviously there was a break in the timecode. That’s not the problem, though.

The problem is that the clips that successfully captured no longer have their timecode info attached to them. The in point is reset to 00:00:00:00 and the outpoint is the same as the duration. What the heck happened?

I would like to be able to dump the media when I’m finished with the project, but keep the project file with the batch list, so I can recapture the footage later, if necessary.

In point and out point aren’t the numbers you need to look at. It’s Media Start and Media End.

In point and out point are if you have a mark in and/or a mark out on the clip. Prior to capturing, you shouldn’t have any!

What do the Media Start and Media End times say?
