  Mpeg4/AVI into FCP

  Archos sells a portable DVR (AV500 or AV700) that records in Mpeg4 format in the form of an AVI file. Anyone tried getting files from the Archos into FCP via Flip4mac or some other way? The Archos device is cheap, small and has a built in monitor. We are debating buying one to try as a field recorder for use with a lipstick cam for action POV footage. Any thoughts?
