  Argh.. TImeline Speed changes..

  Hi.

  I’ve always used the source window to make changes in clip speeds before inserting them into the timeline, because whenever I try to change the speed of a clip in the timeline it shoves the rest of the video track it’s on out of sync…

  is there a better way to do this?

  That’s how its supposed to work.
  You can always “remove” a clip FROM the timeline (leave the “hole”).
  Change the clip’s speed, and edit it back in.

  I always use the source window, but a friend of mine keeps a blank video track in his sequence that he can drag clips up to, lock all the tracks (using Shift F4 for video and Shift F5 for audio), unlock the track where the clip is and then change the speed, and then move back down.
