    Hi –

    Often, particularly after a crash, FPC no longer shows the “open recent items” option. This seems odd to me. Is it because the cache for this is in RAM or something and gets purged? I’ve never had a similar problem in Photoshop, for example…

    Just wondering.

    If you trashed your FCP settings because of your crash or in restoring your system after the crash using FCP Rescue, the “Open Recent” cache is a part of the settings that were trashed.

    wicked sense of humor… heh.

    i have this problem all the time even when I don’t crash FCP..

    FCP rescue is the way to go!

    Yes, me too. Just seems this ought to be a separate cache file that
    is written to, if it isn’t…but hey, what do I know…
