  Quicktime Pro Key Vanished

  I upgraded to Quicktime 7.0.4 and the Quicktime Pro key that was installed by Final Cut Studio disappeared. Can anyone tell me how to restore Quicktime Pro?

  You have the pro key for QT 6. When you upgraded to QT 7 you lost the pro key, and will need to buy one for $30.

  Or upgrade to FCP Studio…

  I’ve had this problem too. FCP Studio doesn’t have a separate quicktime key, it just seems to enable PRO functionality on install. So we had quicktime pro for Quicktime 7 – but when we ran the updater to 7.04 it vanished.

  Anybody out there with a solution?

  That just seems so odd. It would be a huge oversight on Apple’s part if QT 7.04 wipes out the QT 7 Pro key.

  I’d be calling Apple with Final Cut Studio serial number in hand and ask how to solve this problem.
