  pluging auto render bug

  I have found that if you are running a plugin with a separate interface (Boris RED, for example) and FCP’s auto render begins, the plugin freezes and sometimes FCP freezes as well. If I brought up the force quit dialog and selected FCP (without actually quitting it) I could often get ‘behind’ the separate interface and quit the plugin through an FCP menu selection.

  I had the auto render time set to 2 minutes because of the frequent phone calls I get- figured at least some rendering would get done while certain people asked me to deal with their lack of planning! I now have the auto render set to 30 minutes and haven’t had any recurrences. Hope this helps someone- and I hope that Apple and the plugin makers like Boris can fix this!
