  Import EDL with audio as stereo pair

  Hi there,

  I try to import an edl (CMX3600) with one video and 2 audio tracks. Though the 2 audio tracks are linked to the video correctly – they come in as 2 mono tracks. Is there a way to import them as a stereo pair. I don’t want to change every clip to a stereo pair manually. The EDL was made by Canopus Edius 3.5. I searched the web for information about the CMX3600 file format – but found no complete specifiactions. Anyhow, it seems like ‘AA/V’ is the right mode for video with 2 audio tracks. But how can I tell FCP5 to import it as a stereo pair?

  I also tried to export and reimport a sequence as edl (CMX3600) out of FCP. As in the
  EDL generated by Canopus Edius the reimported audio comes in as 2 mono tracks.
