I am working on a documentary with a lot of photos. We are movin them all inside FCP but they start and stop a little too bluntly. Our main issue is with the speed of the in/out points of the movement, not the actual path itself. When I right click on the end point in the canvas and choose the Ease In/Out option, it also changes my motion path a little bit. Is there a way to only get a velocity handle but not a bezier handle so that I can change the frequency of the keyframes without changing the path? Most of our movements are from point A to point B and the bezier handles make the photo go past the end point and then back to stop, if that makes sense.

I’ve been looking in the manual and searching the forums but can’t seem to find what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

    Eddie,
I find the motion path in FCP to be very frustrating. You are supposed to be able to adjust the distance of the Bezier handles from the beginning and end key frames to control the velocity of the move. I could never get it to work. I do all of my pans and scans in Motion, which has superior key framing. There is also this plug-in from Stage Tools for pans and zooms https://www.stagetools.com/ . You can download a trial version.

    Good luck,
