    Hi

I recently purchased DVD_DX thinking this is would be capable of ripping footage ffrom DVDs. But someone told me otherwise, saying I need to get software that takes footage from the DVD (say a movie clip) and DVD_DX is what I’d use to export that file (as a quicktime movie lets say)….is this correct?

What software do I need to rip footage from the DVD before I import to DVD_DX? I think it’ss called something “the ripper.” it has slipped my mind…can anyone help? I’d really appreciate it…thanks!

What are you wanting to do with this footage? If it is a commercial copyprotected DVD, then we can’t help you.

Don’t know about DVD_DX, but there are hundreds of posts in this forum alone that tell you what freeware/shareware is
available for ripping DVDs. Do a search, it’s easy, really. Look, here’s one I did, it was easy:

MacTheRipper will destroy copyrightprotection. Use Google to find it.
Then use MPEG steamklip to make DV-movies out of DVD
