  FCP export to iDVD

  I can’t always get FCP 4.5 HD to burn usable discs in iDVD 4.0.1 – they’ll all play on my G5 but only a few will play on a consumer DVD player, & as far as I can tell I’m following the same process each time.

  Here’s how I’m doing it…

  export to Quicktime Movie out of FCP (have tried this using Quicktime Conversion too)

  open up iDVD, open the Map, drag the movie to Autoplay

  open Settings, delete the theme music, cover up the theme background with a plain black frame

  and burn from there. this has worked maybe two times out of nine.

  so in trying to get rid of the standard theme… have I messed something up?
