  Missing HDV codec?? S.O.S.-

  I’m trying to capture and edit in FCP 5.0.4 some native HDV footage. I’m using Sony’s HDV deck and I’ve tried all the possible HDV settings, starting obviously with the HDV easy setup, and I always get a “missing codec” message. I tried uninstalling and re-installing my FCP and Quicktime and still…. nothing.
  Any clues??
