  weird crashes….

  Just wanted to see if anyone has come across this situation….laying to tape and the moment before a crash a sort of digital “white noise” comes through the speakers and FCP “stops responding”. Please help…..just short of seeing a grown man cry!!! It’s taking me 2 hours to lay off a 30min program.

  It’s the Gods of White noise unhappy with you because you’re not holding your tongue in the right postion when you press play!
  But seriously Greg, with the amount of information you’ve given how do you expect anyone to provide a possible solution.
  At least provide some system specs, sequence settings, type of tape machine, capture/playback card, or via firewire, are you using print to video, edit to tape or just hitting play and record?

  4G of ram

  AJA IO
  Kona2

  8 bit-uncompressed sequence

  not recording video just normal playback, sorry for lack of info.
