I used the Apple migration utility to transfer files/apps from my old G5 to a new quad G5. The transfer went fine, but when I tried to start FCP 4.5 I get an error that says hardware/software is missing, and it says something about a G4/350 and an ATI video card. I removed 4.5, installed FCP 4 and I get the same error. I have a similar problem with Soundtrack Pro & Motion. Those programs ask for a serial #, but when I enter the # ir says it’s incorrect. The Apple site says some programs may need to be reinstalled, but so far that isnt working either. Other programs work fine.

    thanks,
    Rod

I’m sorry, but you are going to have to upgrade to FCP5. FCP 4.5 requires an AGP graphics card. The Quads use a PCIe graphics card.

    FCP5 accepts AGP or PCIe.
