Is there a keystroke that clears out all logging info of a clip on the timeline?
I’m trying to solve a mystery, our IT dept creates a FCP xml timeline with info in the item properties that are somehow getting deleted after an editor works on it. We’re hoping that it’s just an accidental keystroke that is deleting them.

    Thanks

What info in the item properties of the clips? are you talking about?

As far as I know, there’s not an easy way to just keystroke the deletion of item properties easily or inadvertently.

And apparently you saying that the information is there once imported, until some editing has been done, and then it disappears? That’s a really odd one… Give me a step by step so i can repeat it.

    Thanks for your help Jerry.
The fields that are mysteriously missing are Description, Scene and Log Note. We are currently trying to figure out what steps caused this. We had hoped it was just an errant keystroke that was deleting the info. It may turn out that the editor edited in a fresh clip into the timeline and did not use the clips on the timeline returned from the xml, but he claims this was not the case. The info determines which clips from the timeline are posted to the web.
