  FCP4 is dumping clips in trash

  Hi this just started happening today… my video clips or captures are putting themselves in the trash. I keep opening up my trash bin and it’s full of captures from all of my projects. I have only been a mac user for a year and a half, I have always heard that OS X does not get viruses, but this seems like a virus. Has this happened to anyone else? I’ve been using FCP4 steadily for a year and a half and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. Any explanations? Thank You

  Are you SURE they are CLIPS?

  As you edit for awhile, FCP will trash ealier (older) BACKUP files from the “Autosave Vault”. These are replaced by later (newer) autosave backup files.

  The older ones will sit in the Trash until you empty it.
